of <h1>Aadhaar Authentication Required for GST Registration in Uttar Pradesh for Key Individuals from April 1, 2020.</h1> The notification mandates the authentication of Aadhaar possession for specific individuals under the Uttar Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, effective from April 1, 2020. This requirement applies to authorized signatories, managing and authorized partners of partnership firms, and the Karta of a Hindu undivided family for GST registration. If Aadhaar is not assigned, alternative identification methods will be provided as per the rules. The notification was issued by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh on the recommendation of the Council and published in English translation as per constitutional provisions.
