of <h1>Import Duty on Lentils Reduced: 10% Standard, 30% for US Origin Until August 31, 2020.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 50/2017-Customs to temporarily reduce the import duty on Lentils (Mosur) until August 31, 2020. The amendment introduces two new serial numbers in the notification's table: one setting a 10% duty on Lentils and another imposing a 30% duty on Lentils originating from or exported by the United States. These changes are enacted under the Customs Act, 1962, and the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and are deemed necessary in the public interest.
