of <h1>Tamil Nadu Amends GST Tax Schedules: Serial 242 Omitted, Serial 228 Revised to Include 'Lottery' from March 2020.</h1> The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued amendments to the Commercial Taxes and Registration Department Notification No. II(2)CTR/532(d-4)/2017 under the Tamil Nadu Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective March 1, 2020, these amendments involve changes in tax schedules. Specifically, serial number 242 in Schedule II-6% is omitted, and in Schedule IV-14%, serial number 228 is revised to cover 'Lottery' under any chapter. These changes are enacted by the Governor of Tamil Nadu based on the Council's recommendations.
