of <h1>Assam Governor Updates Anti-Profiteering Screening Committee under GST Rule 2017; New Members Announced Effective October 2019.</h1> The Governor of Assam has reconstituted the Screening Committee on Anti-profiteering for the state under the Assam Goods and Services Tax Rule, 2017. The committee now includes the Principal Commissioner of CGST & CX, Guwahati, and the Additional Commissioner of State Tax, Government of Assam. This change is effective from October 24, 2019, and replaces the previous notification issued on September 7, 2017. The notification was authorized by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Finance Department.
