<h1>Bihar GST Rules Amended: File Returns with EVC; New Rule 67A Allows Nil Returns via SMS for Simplicity.</h1> The Bihar Goods and Services Tax (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 2020, effective from May 5, 2020, amend the Bihar GST Rules, 2017. The amendment allows registered companies under the Companies Act, 2013, to file returns using an electronic verification code (EVC) from April 21, 2020, to June 30, 2020. Additionally, a new rule, 67A, introduces the option for registered persons to file Nil returns via SMS using a registered mobile number and a One Time Password for verification. These changes aim to simplify the return filing process under certain conditions.
