of <h1>Chhattisgarh Amends GST Rates: Serial 187 Removed, Updates to Schedules I, II, III Effective April 1, 2020.</h1> The Government of Chhattisgarh has issued Notification No. 03/2020-State Tax (Rate) to amend the previous Notification No. 1/2017-State Tax (Rate) concerning the Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective April 1, 2020, changes include the omission of certain serial numbers and entries in Schedules I, II, and III, which outline different tax rates. Specifically, serial number 187 is removed from Schedule I (2.5%), new entries are added and some removed in Schedule II (6%), and modifications are made to entries in Schedule III (9%). These amendments are made on the Council's recommendations.
