of <h1>Odisha Appoints New State Tax Commissioner Under GST Act 2017, Effective Immediately Per Notification No. 33462-FIN-CT1-TAX-0005-2019.</h1> The Government of Odisha has appointed a new Commissioner of State Tax under the Odisha Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The appointment replaces the previous commissioner with the current Commissioner of Commercial Taxes and GST. The new appointee will assume the role and responsibilities of the Commissioner of State Tax, exercising powers and performing duties as outlined in the Act, effective from the date of assuming charge. This change is formalized under the notification number 33462-FIN-CT1-TAX-0005-2019, dated September 30, 2019.
