of <h1>Odisha GST Amendment: Tax Rate for Polyethylene and Polypropylene Bags Increases from 12% to 18% Effective January 2020.</h1> The Government of Odisha's Finance Department issued a notification on December 31, 2019, amending the Odisha Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective January 1, 2020, the tax rate for woven and non-woven bags and sacks made of polyethylene or polypropylene strips, as well as flexible intermediate bulk containers, will increase from 12% to 18%.
