of <h1>Madhya Pradesh Amends GST: 6% Tax Removed, 14% Tax on Lotteries Imposed Effective March 2020.</h1> The Madhya Pradesh State Government has amended its notification dated 29 June 2017, under the Madhya Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from 1st March 2020, the amendment involves changes in tax schedules. In Schedule II, the 6% tax rate entry at S. No. 242 is removed. In Schedule IV, the entry for S. No. 228 is updated to impose a 14% tax on lotteries, applicable to any chapter. These changes were made based on the recommendations of the Council and are issued under the authority of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
