of <h1>Maharashtra Amends MGST Rates: Changes in Schedules I, II, III Effective April 1, 2020, per Notification 3/2020-State Tax (Rate).</h1> The Government of Maharashtra has issued Notification No. 3/2020-State Tax (Rate) to amend the MGST rate of goods under the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from April 1, 2020, changes include the omission of certain serial numbers and entries in Schedules I, II, and III. Specifically, entries in Schedule I at 2.5% and certain entries in Schedule II at 6% and Schedule III at 9% have been modified or removed. This amendment follows the recommendations of the Council and updates the prior notification dated June 29, 2017.
