Issues 5-Year, 13.5% Secured Redeemable Non-convertible Debentures Under Section 80L, Income-tax Act, 1961</h1> The Central Government has specified the issuance of 5-year, 13.5% Secured Redeemable Non-convertible and Taxable Debentures in the form of Power Grid Bonds by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, New Delhi. These debentures, identified by distinctive numbers G-0000001 to G-2000000, are issued under section 80L of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Each bond is valued at Rs. 1,000, with interest payable half-yearly, totaling Rs. 200 crores. This notification is issued in accordance with Notification No. S. O. 508(E) dated 28-6-1999.
