Competition law exemption: banking company notified under banking law exempted from Sections 5 and 6 of Competition Act. Central Government grants a targeted, time bound exemption in the public interest to a banking company notified under the national banking regulatory regime, removing application of Sections 5 and 6 of the Competition Act to that company and limiting the relief to a fixed five year period from publication in the Official Gazette.
