of <h1>Maharashtra Revises GST Rates: Amendments Impact Woven Bags and Bulk Containers as of January 1, 2020.</h1> The Government of Maharashtra has issued Notification No. 27/2019-State Tax (Rate) to amend the GST rates on certain goods following the GST Council's recommendations from its 38th Meeting. Effective January 1, 2020, the amendments include the removal of specific entries (S. No. 80AA and 171A) from Schedule II-6% and the addition of new entries (S. No. 163B and 163C) in Schedule III-9%. These changes pertain to woven and non-woven bags and sacks, as well as flexible intermediate bulk containers, under the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
