<h1>India Sets New Currency Exchange Rates for Imports and Exports, Effective December 20, 2019, per Notification No. 91/2019.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, issued Notification No. 91/2019 on December 19, 2019, under the Customs Act, 1962. This notification supersedes the previous Notification No. 88/2019 dated December 5, 2019, and establishes the exchange rates for converting various foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for imported and exported goods. Effective from December 20, 2019, the notification provides detailed exchange rates for currencies such as the US Dollar, Euro, and Japanese Yen, among others, for both import and export purposes.
