of <h1>Tripura Amends State Tax Notification to Include Cement Under Chapter 2523 in Customs Tariff Act Effective October 2019.</h1> The Government of Tripura has issued Notification No. 24/2019-State Tax (Rate) to amend Notification No. 7/2019-State Tax (Rate) dated March 30, 2019. This amendment, effective from October 1, 2019, modifies the entry in the Table against serial number 2 to specify 'Cement falling in chapter heading 2523 in the first schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975).' The amendment is made under the authority of the Tripura State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following the recommendations of the Council.
