of <h1>Assam GST Act 2017: Officers in Business Intelligence Cell Empowered Statewide from August 1, 2019.</h1> The Commissioner of State Tax, Assam, under the authority of the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has designated specific classes of officers to exercise their powers within the State of Assam. Effective from August 1, 2019, the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Superintendent, and Inspector of State Tax, all assigned to the Business Intelligence Cell in Guwahati, are empowered to operate throughout Assam. This order was issued on September 6, 2019, by the Commissioner of State Tax, Assam.
