of <h1>Madhya Pradesh Amends GST: 2.5% Tax on Electric Vehicle Chargers, Removes 6% Rate, Adjusts 9% Exclusions.</h1> The Madhya Pradesh State Government has amended Notification No. F A3-33-2017-V-(42) from June 29, 2017, under the Madhya Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendments include the addition of new entries in Schedule I for a 2.5% tax rate on chargers or charging stations for electrically operated vehicles and on electrically operated vehicles, including electric bicycles. Schedule II omits serial number 206 with a 6% tax rate, and Schedule III adds a specification to exclude chargers or charging stations for electrically operated vehicles from the 9% tax rate. These changes are effective from August 1, 2019.
