of <h1>Himachal Pradesh Amends GST Rate for Large Electric Vehicles Serving Local Authorities, Effective August 1, 2019.</h1> The Government of Himachal Pradesh has amended its notification No. 12/2017-State Tax (Rate), dated June 30, 2017, under the Himachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective August 1, 2019, the amendment adds a clause to the existing notification, allowing a tax rate adjustment for electrically operated vehicles designed to carry more than twelve passengers, provided to a local authority. These vehicles are defined as those powered solely by electrical energy from external sources or batteries, as specified under Chapter 87 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
