<h1>India Revises Tariff Values for Edible Oils, Metals, and Seeds Under Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, has issued Notification No. 62/2019-CUSTOMS (N.T.) on August 30, 2019, amending the tariff values for certain goods. These include crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, poppy seeds, gold, silver, and areca nuts. The notification specifies new tariff values in US dollars per metric tonne for edible oils, brass scrap, poppy seeds, and areca nuts, and per 10 grams or kilogram for gold and silver. These changes are made under the Customs Act, 1962.
