of <h1>Puducherry exempts certain e-commerce service suppliers from GST registration u/s 9(5) with annual turnover below Rs. 20 lakh.</h1> The Government of Puducherry, through a notification dated November 17, 2017, exempts certain service suppliers from mandatory registration under the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This exemption applies to suppliers providing services via an e-commerce platform, except those specified under sub-section (5) of section 9 of the Act. These suppliers must have an aggregate turnover not exceeding twenty lakh rupees annually, calculated on an all-India basis. The exemption is granted following the recommendations of the Council and is authorized by the Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry.
