of <h1>Assam Finance Dept. Amends Tax Notification: Changes in Business Terms, Registration Rules, and Tax Pre-Deposit Requirements.</h1> The corrigendum issued by the Government of Assam's Finance (Taxation) Department amends Notification No. FTX.56/2017/Pt-II/135 dated February 28, 2019. Changes include: in clause 19, replacing 'business verticals' with 'places of business'; in clause 21, altering the note to indicate the revocation of registration suspension; and in clause 28, sub-clause (a), item (ii), modifying the requirement to a pre-deposit of 20% of the disputed tax instead of the disputed admitted tax. These amendments are ordered by the Governor and communicated by the Additional Chief Secretary.
