India Revises Tariff Values for Palm Oil, Soya Bean Oil, and Precious Metals Under Customs Act, 1962.
The Government of India, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, has issued Notification No. 51/2019-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated 15th July 2019, amending previous tariff values for certain goods under the Customs Act, 1962. The revised tariff values are specified for various items including crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude soya bean oil, brass scrap, poppy seeds, gold, and silver. For instance, crude palm oil is set at $497 per metric tonne, while gold is valued at $453 per 10 grams. These amendments replace previous tables in Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.).
