<h1>Karnataka GST Order Extends Annual Return Filing Deadline to August 31, 2019, Due to Technical Difficulties.</h1> The Karnataka Goods and Services Tax (Sixth Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2019, issued by the Finance Secretariat, addresses issues faced by taxpayers in submitting annual returns electronically for the financial year ending March 31, 2018. Under Section 44 of the Karnataka GST Act, 2017, registered persons are required to file returns by December 31 following the end of the financial year. Due to technical difficulties, the deadline has been extended from June 30, 2019, to August 31, 2019, to facilitate compliance. This order is enacted under Section 172 of the Karnataka GST Act, 2017, based on the Council's recommendations.
