of <h1>Joint Secretary Appointed as Authority Under Income-tax Act, Section 132(11), Replacing 1965 Notification.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of sub-section (11) of section 132 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, has issued a notification superseding the previous Notification No. S.O. 1179 dated April 8, 1965. This new notification, S.O. 766(E) dated December 10, 1973, appoints a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) as the designated authority for the relevant sub-section. The notification is issued by the Deputy Secretary.
