of <h1>CBDT Amends Notification S.O. 734(E), Updates Income-tax Authorities in Mumbai per Section 120 of Income-tax Act, 1961.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has amended the previous notification S.O. 734(E) dated 31st July 2001, under the powers conferred by Section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The amendment involves changes to Schedule-I, specifically replacing the entries for Sr. No. 2. The updated list includes the Director General of Income-tax (Investigation), Mumbai, and various Commissioners and Directors of Income-tax in Mumbai. All other parts of the original notification remain unchanged. This amendment will become effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
