of <h1>Jammu and Kashmir Rescinds 2017 GST Notification SRO-GST-8 Effective February 2019 u/s 11(1) of GST Act.</h1> The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through its Finance Department, has issued Notification SRO-143, rescinding the earlier Notification SRO-GST-8 dated July 8, 2017. This action is taken under the authority of section 11(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following the recommendations of the Council and deemed necessary in the public interest. The rescission is effective from February 1, 2019, and does not affect actions completed or omitted before this date. The notification is authorized by the Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department.
