Many registrations were cancelled due to non-compliance with notice procedures, such as email or portal notifications, which were unfamiliar to taxpayers. To mitigate this, the order allows affected registered persons, whose registrations were cancelled by March 31, 2019, to apply for revocation of cancellation by July 22, 2019. This amendment aims to provide relief to those unable to respond to cancellation notices in a timely manner.
