Many registrations were canceled due to non-compliance with notification procedures via email or portal, unfamiliar to taxpayers. The Order allows affected taxpayers, whose registrations were canceled by March 31, 2019, to apply for revocation of cancellation by July 22, 2019. This amendment aims to alleviate difficulties faced by taxpayers in adapting to the new GST notification system.
