of <h1>Customs Duty Exemption Extended for Light Combat Aircraft Imports Until June 2019 per Notification No. 39/96-Customs.</h1> The notification amends the previous Customs Notification No. 39/96-Customs, dated 23rd July 1996, to extend the customs duty exemption for goods imported for the Light Combat Aircraft Programme (LCAP) of the Ministry of Defence until 30th June 2019. The exemption applies to machinery, equipment, and other specified items required for LCAP, provided they are imported by authorized centers and certified by designated officials. The goods must be necessary for the LCAP, not manufactured in India, and their import must be authorized by the Ministry of Defence. The exemption ceases to be effective after 1st July 2019.
