of <h1>Maharashtra GST Amendment Act 2018 Effective Feb 1, 2019, with Exceptions in Sections 8, 17, 18, and 20.</h1> The Government of Maharashtra has issued Notification No. 2/2019-State Tax under the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This notification, dated January 30, 2019, declares that the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Act, 2018, will come into effect on February 1, 2019. However, certain provisions, specifically clause (b) of section 8, section 17, section 18, and clause (a) of section 20, are excluded from this enactment date. The notification is issued by the Deputy Secretary to the Government in the name of the Governor of Maharashtra.
