of <h1>Maharashtra Government Withdraws 2017 GST Notification on Reverse Charge for Unregistered Suppliers, Effective February 1, 2019.</h1> The Government of Maharashtra has rescinded Notification No. 8/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated June 29, 2017, under the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, effective February 1, 2019. This action, recommended by the Council, addresses amendments concerning the reverse charge mechanism on supplies by unregistered persons. The rescission does not affect actions taken before this date. The original notification was published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette and last amended on August 8, 2018. The order was issued by the Deputy Secretary to the Government in the name of the Governor of Maharashtra.
