of <h1>Haryana extends ITC claim deadline for FY 2017-18 u/s 172 GST Act due to initial GST issues.</h1> The Haryana Government issued an order under Section 172 of the Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, to extend the deadline for availing Input Tax Credit (ITC) on invoices or debit notes from the financial year 2017-18. Due to initial difficulties with the new GST system, many registered persons were unable to claim ITC or rectify errors within the original time frame. The order allows ITC claims and error rectifications to be made until the due date for returns for March 2019, thereby providing additional time for compliance with Sections 16 and 37 of the Act.
