of <h1>Uttar Pradesh GST Act 2017 Amendment Clarifies Service Scope for Goods Transport, Effective Retroactively from January 1, 2019.</h1> The notification issued by the Uttar Pradesh government, under the Uttar Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, amends a previous notification from June 30, 2017. It adds an explanation to clarify that the specified item does not apply to services other than the transport of goods within India. The existing explanation in the item is renumbered as Explanation I. This amendment is retroactively effective from January 1, 2019, as per the order signed by the Additional Chief Secretary.
