of <h1>Amendment to Customs Tariff: 35% Duty on Goods under Code 0802.90, Excluding Areca Nuts, Effective July 2000.</h1> The notification amends Notification No. 16/2000-Customs, dated March 1, 2000, under the Customs Act, 1962. Issued on July 7, 2000, as Notification No. 97/2000-Customs, it modifies the tariff on goods classified under code 0802.90, excluding Areca nuts, imposing a 35% rate. This amendment is made by the Central Government in the public interest. The principal notification was initially published in the Gazette of India and last amended by Notification No. 88/2000-Customs on June 12, 2000.
