<h1>SEBI Amends Underwriters Regulations: New Registration and Renewal Fees Effective Immediately for Compliance.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued an amendment to the Underwriters Regulations of 1993, effective upon publication in the Official Gazette. Under the new regulations, every underwriter must pay a registration fee of Rs. 5 lakhs upon receiving a certificate from SEBI. To maintain registration, a renewal fee of Rs. 2 lakhs is required every three years, starting from the fourth year after initial registration. Fees must be paid within fifteen days of receiving SEBI's intimation and are payable via demand draft to SEBI in Mumbai or the respective regional office.
