of <h1>Bihar Rescinds 2017 State Tax Notification u/s 11(1) of GST Act, Effective February 1, 2019.</h1> Notification No. 1/2019-State Tax (Rate), dated January 31, 2019, issued by the Commercial Tax Department of Bihar, announces the rescission of Notification No. 8/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated June 29, 2017. This action is taken under the authority of section 11(1) of the Bihar Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following recommendations from the Council, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The rescission does not affect actions taken prior to this notification and will be effective from February 1, 2019. The order is issued by the Governor of Bihar and signed by the Commissioner of State Tax-cum-Secretary.
