        <h1>SEBI Renews Cochin Stock Exchange Recognition for One Year; Requires Establishment of Approved Settlement or Trade Guarantee Fund.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has renewed the recognition of Cochin Stock Exchange Limited for one year, from November 8, 2008, to November 7, 2009. This decision, made under the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, is in the interest of trade and public welfare. The renewal allows the exchange to conduct securities contracts, contingent on the establishment of a Settlement Guarantee Fund or Trade Guarantee Fund approved by SEBI.
