of <h1>India Extends GST REG-26 Application Deadline to December 31, 2017, per Rule 24(2)(b) and Section 168.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance and the Central Board of Excise and Customs, has issued Order No. 06/2017-GST, dated October 28, 2017, extending the deadline for submitting applications in FORM GST REG-26. This extension is granted under the authority of clause (b) of sub-rule (2) of rule 24 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, in conjunction with section 168 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The new deadline for electronic submission is set for December 31, 2017, following the Council's recommendations.
