of <h1>Three New Benches for Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission Announced Under Central Excise Act, 1944</h1> In accordance with the powers granted under the Central Excise Act, 1944, the Central Government has established three additional Benches of the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission. These new Benches will be located in Mumbai, Chennai, and Calcutta. The principal Bench of the Settlement Commission will be based in Delhi. This decision is formalized under Notification No. 41/99-CE(NT), dated 9th June 1999.
