Establishment of Local SEBI Office expands regulatory oversight and investor protection within Karnataka jurisdiction. The Board established a Local Office at Bengaluru under sub section (4) of Section 3 of the SEBI Act, 1992, placed under the administrative control of the Southern Regional Office at Chennai; the Local Office will handle regulatory aspects of investor protection and investor education and perform other functions delegated by the Board within the territorial jurisdiction of the State of Karnataka.
