of <h1>SEBI Updates 2008 Debt Securities Regulations: New Application Timelines, Disclosure Rules, and Shelf Document Validity.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued amendments to the 2008 regulations on the issue and listing of debt securities, effective 30 days post-publication in the Official Gazette. Key changes include: issuers must submit listing applications and disclosures within 15 days of allotment for privately placed debt securities; the introduction of a Shelf Disclosure Document for private placements, valid for 180 days; and updated disclosure requirements in Schedule I. These include corporate resolutions, financial statements, and details of material contracts, among others, to be submitted to stock exchanges and debenture trustees. Additional covenants address security creation, payment defaults, and listing delays.
