This increases the total area of the SEZ to 126.5412 hectares. The SEZ, initially notified in 2009, was originally intended for the pharmaceutical sector but has since been re-designated for the automobile, automobile ancillary, and engineering sectors. The SEZ is managed by a company that underwent a name change from J.B. SEZ Private Limited to HBS Pharma SEZ Pvt. Ltd. The new area includes specific survey numbers in Panoli.
