This appointment was made under the authority of the Competition Act, 2002. The terms and conditions of service for this position are governed by the Competition Commission of India (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2003. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on January 2, 2019.
