Establishment of Local Office increases investor protection and grievance redressal authority in Uttarakhand under SEBI jurisdictional oversight. SEBI has established a Local Office at Dehradun under the administrative control of its Northern Regional Office, exercising powers under section 3(4) of the SEBI Act, 1992. The Local Office will handle investor protection, facilitate investor grievance redressal, provide financial and investor education, and perform other assigned functions within the territorial jurisdiction of the State of Uttarakhand.
