of <h1>Chief Economic Adviser Appointed as Part-time SEBI Member u/s 4 of SEBI Act, 1992.</h1> The Central Government has appointed the Chief Economic Adviser from the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, as a Part-time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). This appointment is made under the authority of Sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, and in accordance with the SEBI (Terms and Conditions of Services of Chairman and Members) Rules, 1992. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Capital Market Division, on April 13, 2006.
