of <h1>SEBI Amends Employee Service Regulations: New Rules for Increment Timing Post-Promotion from November 1, 2012, Onward.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has amended its Employees' Service Regulations, 2001, effective upon publication in the Official Gazette. The amendment introduces Regulation 25A, which addresses increments for employees promoted to a higher grade on or after November 1, 2012. If promoted before reaching the maximum of the pre-promotional grade's incremental scale, the increment date remains the same as in the previous grade. If promoted after reaching the maximum, the increment occurs one year post-promotion. Exceptions apply for officers eligible for post-scale benefits within a year of promotion.
