of <h1>Uttarakhand enforces Section 51 of GST Act 2017 for government bodies and PSUs starting October 1, 2018.</h1> The Government of Uttarakhand issued a notification on September 27, 2018, under the Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax Act 2017. The notification, effective October 1, 2018, brings section 51 of the Act into force. It applies to authorities, boards, or bodies established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature with significant government participation, societies registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and public sector undertakings. This supersedes a previous notification dated November 10, 2017, except for actions taken before the supersession. The notification was issued by the Secretary of the Finance Section.
