Commencement of Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act: Central Government appoints date for the Act to come into force. The Central Government, exercising powers under Sub section (3) of Section 1 of the Multi State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002, appoints 19th August 2002 as the date on which the Act shall come into force by official notification from the Department of Agriculture and Co operation.
