of <h1>Assam GST Act Amendment: Joint Commissioner Replaces Additional Commissioner in 2017 Notification, Effective Retroactively from 2018.</h1> The Government of Assam has issued an amendment to a previous notification regarding the Assam Authority of Advance Ruling under the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendment replaces the name of an official in the notification dated 7th November 2017. The original official, an Additional Commissioner of GST in Guwahati, is replaced by a Joint Commissioner of CGST & CE Commissionerate in Dibrugarh. This amendment is effective retroactively from 12th September 2018, as ordered by the Governor of Assam through the Finance Department.
