These bonds, issued by the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited, Shillong, have distinctive numbers from B0368001 to B0768000 and are valued at Rs. 1,000 each, totaling forty crores. To avail of the tax-free benefit, bondholders must register their name and holdings with the corporation.
